What if you’re burping all the time - there’s an issue with your digestion. Starting from the top, your stomach acid must digest your food. Even though you think you have acid reflux, you could not have enough. High stress means your digestion slows down, but also low in zinc means you’re likely low in stomach acid which can lead to burps. Do you have white marks on your fingernails? Could be to do with zinc and other mineral deficiencies. If you’re gassy and farting all the time, your food is fermenting lower down in your digestive tract, and burping is higher up within the digestive system. Why do you care? Well, because you become a fermenting machine and not in a good way, and you’re not digesting what you’re eating. So to help this, take an enzyme with hydrochloric acid and ox bile is what my guest, Jason Persaud said - and HypoZymase from SproutRight.com is the best one that I know of, and I also take myself.
Are you constipated? Diarrhea? A bit of both and have been diagnosed with IBS? Do your stools float (that’s not good), stink up the bathroom, fall apart or sink to the bottom of the bowl? We broke all that down in episode 81 - all about Poop.
You need to have a bowel movement every day, and especially for females, who have more hormonal issues–where are your intestines where all your poop sits? Right behind the uterus. And when you don’t poop, all the hormones that you’re done with sit in your bowels and get reabsorbed. Got PMS or perimenopause issues ... fix the gut. Also the Gut Brain Axis is a part of this equation. So gut issues and mental health are crucial to look at.
