We are talking Halloween early because I know you’ve seen the boxes of candies and chocolate bars for sale already, and if you’re one to get tempted, those little bars sure don’t feel as sinful as a full chocolate bar.
Halloween is my least favourite holiday. What’s scary is the amount of sugar that’s consumed over this holiday, as well as the artificial colouring and flavouring that’s piled into all those squishy and hard candies.
For the sake of the immune system, can we find a way to have a healthier Halloween? And before you groan, think of the fun and creativity that the family can have making new traditions or coming up with new ideas of how to do Halloween a bit differently.
Halloween can be a parent’s worst nightmare. Just picture those sugar-infused little bodies that ultimately crash at the end of a late night in the form of one doozy of a tantrum. Now that’s a scary Halloween.
